Pastor J.C. Matthews
|
Dr. Matthews possess a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, as well as a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree. J.C. is also the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity (D.Div) for his work, writings and study of the Kingdom of God.
J.C. was twice recognized for the outstanding study of law by the "Who's Who Among American Law Students" and awarded this distinction for the years 1996 and 1997. He was honored as an Urban All-American by the General Assembly of the Ohio State Senate.
Dr. Matthews has worked in a management capacity for some of America's top corporations. Prior to entering into full time ministry, Dr. Matthews quickly climbed through the ranks of management at a Fortune 100 Company, from the position of Assistant Manager to that of Director in less than 3 years. During this same time period Dr. Matthews had embraced his assignment to teach and live the Kingdom. Dr. Matthews realized that the Kingdom must be demonstrated, and not only taught. Therefore, after much prayer and fasting, he resigned from his job and declared God as his Source. As a result, this step of faith has provided Dr. Matthews with both a biblical and experiential understanding of the Kingdom operation in the earth.
In addition, Dr. Matthews’ unique blend of corporate, legal and ministerial training has given him great insight and understanding of the covenants, concepts, laws and principles of the Bible and the Kingdom enabling him to effectively, and with clarity, communicate the truth of God’s word in a profoundly simplistic and impactful manner.
Dr. Matthews brings a unique and necessary revelation of the Kingdom to the body of Christ that goes to its origin. His legal training allows him to identify and articulate truths, concerning Kingdom living and its operation, that cannot be discerned without the benefit of this insight. Having a legal perspective of the Bible and the Kingdom enables Dr. Matthews to not only articulate “what” the Kingdom is but “how” it operates and how it impacts the life of the believer. Having an understanding of the legal foundation and laws that governs the operation of the Kingdom provides the believer with the confidence necessary to live life according to a system that is diametrically opposed to the world’s system. Without this understanding believers lack the confidence necessary for the Kingdom to manifest in their lives
